Following the Upper Hutt Musical Theatre AGM, held on Wednesday 11th March 2026, we are pleased to announce the Executive Committee for the 2026 year.

This year we said goodbye to four serving committee members and would like to take this opportunity to give a heartfelt thank you to:
Jenny Quin who has been part of Upper Hutt Musical Theatre for 27 years! We farewell her as the President and one of Upper Hutt Musical Theatres biggest contributors onstage and off with special mentions of putting together UHMTs 50th last year and having many hats throughout the years helping with strategy, directing, mentoring, front of house, health and safety and much much more. Her expertise will be greatly missed but we know she is always a phonecall away. We love you Jenny and wish you all the best.
Then to Julianne Jackson also part of UHMT for 27 years! Also one of our biggest contributors especially where strategy comes in. She also worked tirelessly with Jenny to put on UHMTs 50th last year and her skills in all things society documents has been invaluable and a task that many wouldn’t have picked up. She also had many roles throughout the years as director, musical director, front of house, set builder and designer and so much more. We thank her greatly for updating our constitution before she stepped down as Vice-President and will also miss her expertise greatly. Thanks Julianne and all the best.
Next we say farewell to Adele Child who brought her bubbly personality to the committee for the past 4 years as she heads out to explore more musical theatre in the Wellington Region. It was a pleasure to have you over these past few years both onstage and behind the scenes helping with many things including wardrobe and music. Thanks Adele and all the best.
And lastly but not least thank you to Rebecca Berney for stepping onto the committee and giving her time when we were down a few members. It’s been wonderful to have such a supportive parent involved, bringing fresh ideas and new ways of working to the FOH department as well as generously helping during shows. Your contribution has been truly appreciated.
We can’t thank you enough for your commitment and support of UHMT and we wish you the best of luck on your future endeavors.
